Nathaniel Villarreal

Owner & Founder

Anthem School of Music LLC was founded in 2007 By Nathaniel A. Villarreal as Anthem Studios. During one of the worst economic recessions in the Nation’s history, Nathaniel saw an opportunity to spread his concept and vision of enriching the lives of every student through the power of music. By customizing each lesson based on the learning styles of every student, Nathaniel could instruct, critique, and motivate his students to perform at the highest levels. In 2008 Nathaniel developed the quick start method for guitar which included and instructional DVD, Ready to Rock. By simplifying the instruction process Nathaniel and Anthem Studios quickly gained popularity as one of the best instructors and studios in San Antonio. The quick start method is still in use today, and allows students at any level to grasp musical concepts and retain musical knowledge. The Quick start method has been adapted and applied to all styles and instrument instruction at Anthem School of Music LLC. Nathaniel has toured all over the world and has instructed thousands of lesson's, hundred's of student's. Has Released Multiple Singles, Worked in the Studio with some of the greatest known musicians. One of the best session studios guitarist in San Antonio. Has extensive contacts and knowledge in the industry to include, concert production, artist management, producing, arrangement and song writing. His Students Are Some Of The Best Musicians In San Antonio.

Karly Lopez

Instructor

Karly Lopez is a multi-instrumentalist who has over 10 years of instruction and performing experience. Karly attended the Art Institute of Austin, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Audio Production. Her experience of recording with Bootsy Collins, live sound engineering, and performing since the age of 14 giver her insight on teaching to the youth. Karly is excited to continue her music instruction at Anthem School Of Music, sharing her passion with the youth in San Antonio.

Cameron Moskito

Cameron is a multi-instrumentalist with 15 years of experience, currently studying the piano program at Conservatory of Music @ Purchase College near NYC. He's trained classically in piano with a minor in Jazz, but also enjoys a variety of musical genres including thrash, rock, pop, and R&B. His primary instrument is piano, but doubles on drums, guitar, bass, brass instruments, and saxophones.

John Knox

John Knox spent forty years in healthcare, most of which was as President/Chief Executive Officer of hospitals across the country. After retiring he turned to teaching and has spent the last few years teaching Chemistry and Biology to high school students and has also taught Microbiology/Infectious Diseases at Trinity University (He holds a Masters in Science (MS) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)). He began taking piano lessons in kindergarten and continued taking lessons through high school. John has played piano his entire life and performed occasionally in front of rather large audiences. HIs favorite piece is Rhapsody in Blue but he favors Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Rachmaninoff as well as popular music. He is married to Karen and has two adult children and four grandchildren.

Zaireth Perez

A passionate Venezuelan singer with a diverse background in opera, modern music, and music education, I am known for my vocal versatility and commitment to nurturing talent. Trained at prestigious institutions like "El Sistema" under Maestra Margot Pares-Reina, I have performed as a soloist and ensemble member on international stages such as the Kennedy Center and La Scala, and collaborated with renowned maestros. I have also shared my expertise as a vocal arts teacher, impacting aspiring musicians in the Dominican Republic. Guided by mentors like Reneé Morloc, Katia Ricciarelli, and Gustavo Dudamel, I continue to inspire both audiences and the next generation of musicians.
